Kierstin’s passion is to help others find a more holistic and natural approach that can lead them to a healthier lifestyle both mentally and physically. She believes no single approach will work on everyone, but with her wide range of training with various modalities, she will find the combination that makes a difference in your life.
She holds a Diplomate of Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed in Acupuncture by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice. Kierstin is a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, licensed Acupuncturist, and Herbal Medicine Practitioner. She obtained her Masters in Oriental Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences University.
During Kierstin’s studies at Northwestern she interned at a variety of locations throughout the Twin Cities area. Some of her internships included The Penny George Institute for Health & Healing at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, The University of Minnesota Medical Center, Courage Center Stroke and Rehabilitation Center, Pathways, The Pillsbury House, Salvation Army Harbor Lights, The Aliveness Project, Bloomington Natural Care Center, and Edith Davis Teaching Clinics. Preceding entering the Master’s program in Oriental Medicine at Northwestern, Kierstin created a fundamental baseline for internal medicine and the biological processes of the body by completing a BS in Cellular Physiology with a minor in Psychology and Chemistry from UW-Whitewater. To further her knowledge of the body, she then expanded her medical knowledge by attending Nursing school for her BSN. After much contemplation, she realized that nursing wasn’t for her but this did put her on the path for health and healing, subsequently becoming a Level II Reiki practitioner and then into the field of Oriental Medicine. She has also obtained her Certification through Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture for the treatment of cosmetic acupuncture of the face and neck, infertility, and obesity.
Kierstin is open and ready to treat all forms of health issues. Her focus is to help patients with pain management, nerve therapy, sports medicine, mental health, end of life care, digestive health, and cosmetic rejuvenation. She can help others find a healthier way of life by using various modalities along with acupuncture such as cupping therapy, moxabustion, electrical stimulation, Gua Sha, Chinese Medical Massage, and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
In her free time, Kierstin enjoys spending time in the great outdoors, camping, sitting by the campfire, fishing on the lake, as well as painting, cooking, and enjoying all the activities the cities have to offer. Joining her on these endeavors are her dog, family, and friends. She looks forward to walking with you on your health and wellness path of life.
